Serving God and Serving Others

at Gum Swamp Church

Gum Swamp Church offers a variety of ministries for all ages.  We encourage our members to become involved in serving the Lord by serving others.  We currently have three groups of adults who meet monthly and participate in a variety of outreach and service projects, as well as times of devotion, Bible study, and fellowship.  We invite you to join us and are certain that you would enjoy this time with like-minded believers.

C2 Fellowship

(College & Career)

The newest adult ministry at Gum Swamp Church is our C2 Fellowship, which was designed for young men and women who are currently in college or who have already started their careers.  Our young adults meet monthly for fellowship and Bible study and are currently being led by Thomas and Holly Hudson.  They normally meet on the third Sunday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Church Fellowship Hall, where there is NEVER a dull moment!  They often have activities that take them off the church campus, as they search for ways to reach out to others and provide a means of growing closer to the Lord and to each other.  All high school graduates, college students, and young professionals are encouraged to join the fun and fellowship!

Woman's Auxiliary

The Woman's Auxiliary of Gum Swamp Church has been going strong for more than 70 years.  This group is an organization of Christian women who desire to serve the Lord by serving others. Our ladies meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. Our organization is very active and dedicated to helping others in their time of need through benevolent activities. The ladies are great supporters of Gum Swamp Church and frequently plan and participate in a variety of service projects for our church, our community, and our denomination. Women of all ages are invited to join our group as we meet each month for a time of devotion, fellowship, and outreach projects.

Laymen's League

The Laymen's League is an organization that encourages fellowship among the men of our church.  This group is designed to coordinate the manpower within our local congregation to perform service projects when needed (such as building, painting, etc.) for our members, our community, and our denominational enterprises.  Our men meet on the first Monday night of each month in the Church Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. for dinner and devotion and to plan their upcoming projects.  They also meet quarterly with the men's groups of other churches within our Central Conference.  Men of all ages are encouraged to join the fellowship and continue to share God's love through service.
